ISLAMABAD: JPSM leaders from south Punjab, who had earlier parted ways with PML-N demanding a separate province, have joined Imran Khan’s PTI on Wednesday.
The Junoobi Punjab Suba Mahaaz (JPSM) leaders announced their decision to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf during a press conference alongside party chairman Imran Khan.
Prior to the press conference, JPSM leaders including Balkh Sher Mazari, Khusro Bakhtiyar, Nasrallah Dreshak, Tahir Bashir among others, met with Imran Khan and party leaders Jahangir Tareen and Fawad Chaudhry.
Speaking during the meeting, the PTI chief supported the JPSM leaders’ struggle for a separate south Punjab province saying that the people of the region deserve to be provided their due rights.
The two parties also signed an agreement titled ‘Yadaasht’ to create a separate south Punjab province, while PTI also recognised the services of the JPSM leaders for the cause.
